Marketing and Communication Coordinator

Norwich, Norfolk – competitive market rate salary and benefits (pro-rated).

Part-time, twelve month maternity cover, flexible hours, typically 3 days per week, though exact working hours can be adapted to suit needs of the applicant, combined with the requirements of the commercial function and seasonality of the Associations’ programme of events, including a requirement for additional hours up to and above full time during The Royal Norfolk Show period.

We have a rare opportunity to join the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA), a charity established in 1847, whose main purpose is to promote and encourage understanding of, and improvement in, agriculture, food and farming.

Reporting to the Show Director, the Marketing and Communication Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the day to day marketing operations and communications of the Association.

This will include the scheduling, planning and delivery of communications (digital and postal) to our membership and other groups, providing a design capability for in-house design work, maintaining current content on the website and using social media platforms as a channel for communication with our supporters and potential visitors. Administrative responsibilities will include supporting the staff in the preparation of literature, tickets and other documents and ad hoc tasks as required for all RNAA-led events, including the Royal Norfolk Show.

This role requires a flexible individual who can bring a variety of marketing and administrative skills to support the RNAA. There may also be opportunities to take on project responsibility to oversee elements of the Show or other events from time to time.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience of working in a customer facing environment and delivering an exceptional level of service. They will also be keen to engage and develop new initiatives on behalf of the Association. They will possess excellent interpersonal skills, able to communicate effectively to work well with colleagues, members, our volunteer steward population, suppliers, customers and the general public, as well as having sound technical skills in the marketing and communication field.
