What was it all about?
Grow it, Cook it, Eat it binded together many of the activities at the Show to promote agriculture and food production in Norfolk. These included: Mr Mawkin’s Farm, cattle and livestock rings, Countryside Area, machinery past and present, Flower and Garden Show, cookery theatre, nominated catering outlets and the Adnams Food and Drink Experience. Our education trails were structured to encourage an understanding of the past and enable the learning of discovery and innovation for the future. The Discovery Zone and Innovation Hub will play a key role with Grow it, Cook it, Eat it.
Celebrating our Heritage was an important part of the 2016 Show celebrating the achievements and successes of our local institutions. A number of well-known local organisations including Norfolk Wildlife Trust, Norfolk Chamber of Commerce, Countrysiders, Cub Scouts and RAF Marham celebrated a significant milestone this year and many of them used the Show as a platform for their celebrations. We were thrilled that RAF Marham had chosen the Show to celebrate its centenary.
The Retail Experience was a key part of the Show and we were proud to promote the 650+ businesses who traded at Norfolk’s largest outdoor shopping experience. Ranging from top-end retailers to bespoke Norfolk goods we had an eclectic range of shops offering luxury goods, clothing, garden design and furniture, cars, banking and professional services. There was a range of agricultural suppliers present, many with state of the art farming and agricultural equipment on sale.
