Takeover Day at The RNAA
The Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA) welcomed two new recruits to its fold, to work alongside its management team on Friday 20th November 2015 as part of the national initiative Takeover Day. Thousands of young people, 13-19 years old took charge of someone else’s job for the day running every kind of organisation from national zoos to newspapers to becoming MPs.
Two pupils from Norfolk schools, Emily, 16, and Macie, 14, shadowed the RNAA’s Chief Executive Greg Smith for the day and took their place at a staff planning meeting for the Royal Norfolk Show 2016.
Greg Smith believes it is important to be part of Takeover Day. “The Royal Norfolk Showground is an ideal place for Emily and Macie to discover what skills are needed to event manage a big show like the Royal Norfolk Show and we are enjoying sharing our working day with our bright new colleagues.”
