The Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association (RNAA) is seeking to appoint an exceptional person to lead and drive forward the management and development of the RNAA’s estate, including Norfolk Showground. This exciting post will take day-to-day responsibility for the maintenance of the estate, the coordination of future developments and be responsible for the delivery of all events held at Norfolk Showground. The estate function is a critical element of the RNAA’s strategy to enable greater commercial use of the Showground and to provide a first-rate customer service for our visitors, clients and partners. The role is based at Norfolk Showground.
We are looking for a highly capable and versatile individual who will support the Managing Director in all areas of estate management. As part of this role, the individual will be responsible for leading a small estate and events team and for organising contactors and temporary staff as the business demands. The Site Delivery Manager will have a close relationship with the RNAA’s volunteer stewards.
S/he will have the following responsibilities:
- Lead the day-to-day management of the estate, including Norfolk Showground, ensuring the safe operation of the estate in all matters to do with compliance and regulation.
- Be the RNAA’s contact for the delivery of all commercial events through Norfolk Showground Limited, as well as RNAA-led events, including the Royal Norfolk Show.
- Coordinate and supervise the day-to-day requirements of development projects.
The RNAA is one of the leading agricultural associations in the UK and exists to promote and support food, farming and countryside. With a vibrant and supportive membership it is best known for the Royal Norfolk Show and many other industry related events and activities. Norfolk Showground Limited is our trading subsidiary and manages the RNAA’s estate, Norfolk Showground, as a successful events venue.
Our new Site Delivery Manager will already be excited by the prospect of leading all matters to do with the RNAA’s estate and Norfolk Showground. You will already be relishing the opportunity to manage Norfolk’s foremost events venue and to play a leading role in the delivery of the Royal Norfolk Show – the UK’s largest two-day county show. You will be a self-starter; motivated by delivering a first-class service for all users of the estate and by taking pride in your team’s work. You will apply your considerable experience of venue and facilities management to develop Norfolk Showground into a thriving hub of activity. Foremost a people person, you will be comfortable engaging with people of all levels and experience.
