It is with great sadness that we report the death of Jeffrey Bowles, a former trustee of the Royal Norfolk Agricultural Association, and member of Council, on Friday October 29 2020.
Jeffrey, who was aged 73, was a long term supporter of the RNAA and friend of the Royal Norfolk Show. Specifically, he provided much respected expert advice on property and development issues. A former senior partner of local land-agents, TW Gaze he was a popular and successful auctioneer. A great supporter of farming’s charity, the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution, he raised thousands of pounds with his gavel at their annual eve-of-show cocktail party, held at the Norfolk Showground since 1985.
He stood down from a three-year term as trustee in 2014 and remained on Council as a Honorary Vice President. Jeffrey’s dapper appearance and friendly nature will be missed by us all.
Our condolences and thoughts go to his family and close friends at this sad time.
