Annual Programme of Events

Events and Activities

We’re a resource, a network, a knowledge hub, a place for professionals working in Norfolk’s rural land based industries to share ideas and skills.

We understand our members’ busy work-life balance and plan meetings accordingly. Working around the farming calendar, we meet up to six times a year, doing a variety of things, mixing social and business  activities.

YIELD provides a platform for informed debate and gets to the heart of the matters, which concern members. The group engages high calibre speakers and also arranges exclusive social activities for members.

Minette Batters needs little introduction, at the helm of UK agriculture in the position of NFU President ably navigating turbulent times.

Thursday 18 March 2021 at 7:30 p.m

This is an opportunity to review the year just gone and to look ahead. Minette Batters will present her views and the members of YIELD will have the opportunity to share their questions and ideas.

Minette is a tenant farmer from Wiltshire, she has been NFU President since 2018. Minette’s farm includes a beef herd, a wedding venue, sheep and arable. She is a member of the BBC Radio 4 Woman’s Hour 2020 Power List and a subject of Desert Island Discs. Notably she agreed to commit the NFU to a target of net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2040, has passionately argued the cause for British food standards in the face of possible trade deal imports and was a co-founder of ‘Ladies in Beef’ and ‘The Great British Beef Week’
