As we start a new year, I am delighted to introduce myself as the Managing Director of the RNAA. I relish the opportunity to lead the Association, an organisation that has such an important role in promoting and supporting food, farming and the countryside, in Norfolk.
Despite the challenging circumstances of the moment the RNAA has a crucial role to play in supporting the agricultural, economic, cultural and social sectors of our regional life. We may not be able to deliver a Royal Norfolk Show in 2021 but we do intend to provide a programme of interesting activities and events – a blend of virtual and real – to ensure that we deliver our core purpose of promoting and supporting food, farming and the countryside. We want to act as the glue that binds together farmers, producers, scientists, educators with inquisitive minds to celebrate and promote our vibrant industries and communities. When conditions allow we look forward to welcoming many people to Norfolk Showground, the county’s premier events venue.
Being a member of the RNAA has never been more important. We have a mission to fulfil and we very much hope that you will decide to demonstrate your support for our work by joining the RNAA. With your support we look forward to advancing our important work with fresh energy and ideas.
Look forward to seeing you in 2021
